The 7th IVRA International Hyperthermia Medical Conference 2024

Hyperthermia in Oncology – “Where does it stand”

 

There were an estimated 20 million new cancer cases and 9.7 million deaths. The estimated number of people who were alive within 5 years following a cancer diagnosis was 53.5 million. About 1 in 5 people develop cancer in their lifetime, approximately 1 in 9 men and 1 in 12 women die from the disease.

With the rising global burden, prevention and treatment of cancer is one of the most significant public health challenges of the 21st century. Many clinical trials and international journals have shown that hyperthermia, when used as an adjunct with treatments such as radiation therapy and chemotherapy, helps in shrinking tumour and killing cancer cells.

 The International Virus Research Alliance (IVRA) comprising of both Korean and international scholars are now focused on cancer prevention and treatment, pain relief and disease treatment by sharing medical information and forming a global medical network.

 The IVRA was initially formed during the Covid-19 pandemic to treat viruses that are vulnerable to heat through immune activation via hyperthermia treatment and has shown remarkable therapeutic results.

 In line with our last five successful conferences held in Korea, and one in Malaysia last year, we are pleased to invite you to the “7th International Hyperthermia Medical Conference” held for the first-time in Indonesia.

JS Luwansa Hotel & Convention Center offers a luxurious stay in the centre of Jakarta, a 5-minute walk from Rasuna Epicentrum business and entertainment area. Providing free Wi-Fi in all areas, it boasts an outdoor pool, gym and 2 dining options

Modern rooms in JS Luwansa Hotel & Convention Center feature wall-to-wall carpeted flooring and large windows that offer much natural light. In-room comforts include a flat-screen satellite TV, electric kettle and a fridge. A work space and a personal safe are also available.
